Guest Post: OSJC's Eoforwich 39th Pioneer Corps
The 39th pioneer corps was intended as a modelling project, specifically based around using Anvil's Regiments figures at its core… who else? As the theme of the 39th is a sapper/engineer regiment set in a dieselpunk European-war trench-warfare setting I went straight to Anvil’s trencher range of minis. Although I had previously used parts of their ranges to modify existing models I had decided that it was past time I put Anvil's minis front and centre, with other parts used hither and yon where appropriate.

Studio Stargrave Crew : The finished crew and their adventures!
Creating a warband/crew for skirmish games is something I feel every hobbyist should do at some point, as the game's genre naturally compels you to want to convert or kitbash to your heart's content and create a truly unique collection of models. And as we have such a huge selection of miniature parts in both our resin range and our digital range I felt like my creativity could really flex a little bit with what I was going to do for this Stargrave Crew project.

Guest Post: Painting Glow and OSL Effects
A few weeks ago Anvil Industry sent me a message asking if I would be interested in creating some tutorials to help other painters achieve the glow effect I had been posting on social media using their products. If I am being upfront about it all, it is just an OSL technique using types of paint that many might not even know exist. My secret weapon is white ink and fluo (fluorescent) paints. And yes, they both exist. And yes, there are brands that make them for miniature painting.

Building a Reclaimer team for Zone Raiders

Author: Anvil Staffer Daniel

With a wealth of miniatures at our disposal we are always on the lookout for interesting games that offer up opportunities to get creative and build unique teams and crews.

Recently Zone Raiders caught our eye, if you haven't heard of it here is the description ...

Conversion Corner: Renegade Ogre
Conversion Corner: Renegade Ogre
The larger-than-life proportions of the Regiments Ogres provide the perfect canvas for some conversion work! I wanted to use parts from the Digital Forge to create a Renegade Ogre, the beauty of this is that all of our digital sculpts can be scaled easily before printing.

Making Promethium Guild Proxies for Necromunda Games - Guest Post by Rob Skene
I love Necromunda. I could gush about its campaign dynamics and larger-than-life characters, its ease of entry or relative low cost to play, but I’ll spare you the character count and cut to the chase. I love its Guild delegations. These Guild delegations are presented in the books with very specific head counts, equipment and skills, but barely any of them have been released and there are only one or two bits of concept art to indicate what they might look like. The solution? Make your own!

Painting the Digital Forge Tankette
Painting the Digital Forge Tankette
The Digital Forge tankette is a lovely mini. As the name implies, it's a little wee tank! It is a two-person vehicle, making it perfect as a support tank, a mount for an officer who doesn't want to foot slog it, or as a heavy weapon in a mechanised army! I was inspired by the WW2 Italian desert camo scheme for the LV 33/35 tankette. Desert camo doesn't have to be just plain khaki and browns!
Conversion Corner: Zona Alfa Spetsnaz
Conversion Corner: Zona Alfa Spetsnaz
Zona Alfa is a great system for small skirmish games, and lets you explore concepts without committing to a 100+ model army! Anvil staffer Adam wanted to do something influenced by the Spetsnaz, the Russian special forces- equivalent to the SAS or the American Delta Force.
